Resource Referral

At IEP Connection, we understand that supporting a child with unique learning or behavioral needs often requires more than just school-based services. Families may benefit from additional community resources, therapies, or professional supports that work alongside the IEP or 504 Plan. Our Resource Referral service is designed to connect families with trusted providers and programs that can make a real difference in a child’s growth and development.

We believe that no family should feel alone or uncertain about where to turn next. By providing referrals tailored to your child’s needs, we help you build a strong network of support both inside and outside the classroom.

Why Referrals Matter

Schools play a key role in education, but many children need services beyond what the school can provide. Referrals can help families access:

  • Therapeutic Services: Speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or counseling.

  • Medical or Developmental Specialists: Pediatricians, psychologists, or specialists who can provide additional diagnoses or treatment.

  • Tutoring and Academic Support: Targeted support in reading, math, or writing.

  • Behavioral Interventions: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), social skills groups, or parent training.

  • Community Programs: Recreation, mentorship, and extracurricular activities designed for children with special needs.

  • Transition Services: Vocational training, career counseling, and adult service agencies for older students.

How We Support Families

At IEP Connection, our referral process is personalized and intentional. We:

  • Review your child’s evaluation results and educational plan to identify areas needing extra support.

  • Recommend reputable professionals, programs, and community resources that fit your child’s needs.

  • Help families understand how outside services can complement school-based supports.

  • Provide guidance on how to integrate private services with IEP or 504 goals.

  • Check in with families to ensure referrals are working and adjust as needed.

A Network of Support

  1. Raising a child with unique needs takes a village. Our role is to help you find the right people and programs to be part of that village. With the right resources in place, children not only receive stronger support but also have more opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive.

At IEP Connection, we see referrals as more than names on a list — they are connections to solutions, encouragement, and hope for families.

At IEP Connection, we provide clear answers and practical next steps. With the right support, every child can thrive.
